It had mostly opaque color coverage with a creamy, lightweight texture that clung enough that it didn’t slide around but not to the point where it was uncomfortable or drying. It was intensely pigmented with a creamy, smooth consistency that applied beautifully. I was really impressed by the level of coverage as well as the evenness of application, as deeper shades like this often become a mess. It’s very dark, but it’s still noticeably green–you definitely get that tint and flash in person under an assortment of lighting types. It wore well for over six hours, was lightly hydrating, and faded evenly. Urban Decay Junkie (P, $17.00) is more shimmery, lighter, warmer (80% similar). It had mostly opaque coverage, but it was the less-pigmented shade out of the newer releases. The texture was creamy, fairly lightweight, and glided on well with mostly even application. This shade lasted for six hours and left behind a pinky-purple stain, while the formula was lightly hydrating overall. I didn’t experience feathering, but I did find this shade harder to apply with precision from the tube. Illamasqua Disciple (P, $24.00) is more shimmery, lighter (85% similar). FORMULA OVERVIEW | Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick ($26.00 for 0.15 oz.) is supposed to have “bold, creamy color” with “extreme moisture, soft texture, and creamy wear.” The majority of the range is very pigmented–typically opaque with one pass–with a few shades being semi-opaque but usually buildable. All 34 shades are shimmer-free and vary being a soft satin finish to a natural finish (light shine but not glossy). The consistency is very lightly creamy to lightly creamyu with some shades requiring light-medium pressure and can pull the lip a bit when gliding it across the lips, though the color doesn’t appear ragged and the bullet itself doesn’t feel stiff (while other shades applied without tugging, so check individual shade reviews!) The majority of the shades I’ve tested have been lightly hydrating to non-drying and fairly comfortable to wear for the long-haul. They wear longer than average, from four to eight hours, depending on the intensity and propensity of the shade to stain.
