Urban Decay Wrath Vice Lipstick
Urban Decay Vice Lipstick ($17.00 for 0.11 oz.) is available in six finishes, and this post is highlighting the Metallized finish. According to the brand, it’s supposed to be a “Cream with a high level of pearl,” but I would say it’s more like a hybrid between the Cream finish and the Sheer Shimmer finish–it’s not as thick or as creamy as the Creams, generally, but it is a more pigmented formula than the Sheer Shimmers.
My initial impressions of the Metallized finish are mixed, because I felt like there was more noticeable variance from shade to shade in this finish. Shades like Gubby, Whip, and Trick are awfully sheerer compared to shades like Wrath and Zealot. The sheerer the shade, the more it felt like a Sheer Shimmer, as they were often thinner and had more slip and less of that creaminess that makes the Cream finish feel different from the rest of the line. As a result, I’ve found the wear, thus far, to be anywhere from two to six hours with light to moderate hydration. Some shades have fine pearl that give it a low-level, more metallic sheen while others have a lot of lighter shimmer (compared to the base color) and appear more amped-up and have a higher-level of frost/metallic sheen.
