The formula that is supposed to be a "creamy-matte" that "glides on like butter, doesn't feather or bleed, and lasts so long you'll forget you're even wearing it." The majority of the shades were quite pigmented with full color payoff in a single stroke with a few in the more semi-opaque coverage range.

The texture was, on average, smooth, lightly creamy, and not too thick or too thin, so there was no tugging during application but the color didn't feel slippery while worn, which made them easier to apply straight from the tube and low-maintenance on the lips.

They tend to dry and wear down to a soft matte finish within one to three hours of wear, and while they are very lightweight on, they hug the lips more as they become more matte (compared to initial feel). The wear time has been between four and six hours for most shades, and most shades were non-drying to lightly hydrating. They were vanilla-scented but had no discernible taste.

Fenty Beauty Stunna Lip Paint Longwear Fluid Lip Color ($24.00 for 0.13 oz.) is supposed to offer “12-hour hold” that feels “weightless” and “one stroke” pigmentation. The formula features a very smooth, fluid consistency that is thin and almost emollient (a little slippery, not watery though), which I have often found harder to control compared to the average liquid lipstick. Part of the lack of control stems from the fact that the formula is quite pigmented, and the curvy applicator seems to hold an excessive amount of product.

The end result is that it can be easy to apply more product than one needs, so patience and controlled movements are key to application. It takes a minute to two minutes for it to dry down for the most part with the more recently released shades drying down to a flatter, more matte finish that's more transfer-resistant. They feel particularly comfortable, as they flex and feel lightweight on, and they aren't drying at all on me. They last between six and 10 hours on me.

Most shades in the range have a satin to luminous finish--not glossy but they have a luminosity to them that gives the appearance of lighter-weight color and smoother, fuller lips that a true satin finish doesn't have (in my experience).

The texture has a more velvety feel--smooth with great glide but not a lot of wetness, so they go on comfortably but feel very lightweight and thin but don't emphasize lip lines/lip texture. I can see what they mean by a "glowing" matte finish; it's more of a modern matte--not as flat or as dry-looking as matte lipsticks from many years ago. Sometimes, it seems like brands are just afraid to use the term satin or semi-matte, though! They have a semi-matte finish--less shiny in person--with subtle pearl that looks less like shimmer in person and more of that "glowing" finish as described.

The texture was more velvety, so it didn't feel as wet as a traditional lipstick, but it still glided readily across my lips. I found that it had a tendency to pill a little when swatched on my arm, but most shades did not have any issue like that when applied to my actual lips. This is rare, but I have had that happen where a product was clearly designed for lip skin over skin-skin!

They wore between five and seven hours, depending on the shade; deeper, richer shades (like a red) tended to last longer than lighter shades (like a peach or lighter brown). They were more on the non-drying to lightly hydrating side.
