NARS Consuming Red Velvet Matte Lip Pencil ($26.00 for 0.086 oz.) is a deep red with warm undertones and a matte finish. It had very nearly opaque color coverage that applied with smooth, even color. The pencil felt smooth and velvety along the lips, and it was easy to maneuver around the edge of the lips as well as to fill in the color. The texture is thin, and if my lips are at all dry or flaky, I find the formula can highlight those imperfections noticeably, but if you exfoliate prior to applying, it should look much smoother.
