MAC Viva Glam Ariana Grande Lipglass ($15.00 for 0.17 fl. oz.) is described as a “shimmering pink.” It’s a sheer, pink-tinted gloss with moderate gold and pink sparkle. It lightens my natural lip color slightly but yields primarily shine and sparkle. It can be layered over another lip color, including the lipstick. I noticed this particular shade seemed tackier than recent Lipglasses, though not quite as thick as The gloss lasted for three hours on me. Sephora Collection Good Fairy (LE, $14.00) is warmer (90% similar). Chanel Eau de Rose (86) (LE, $27.00) is cooler (90% similar). Chanel Rose de Lune (LE, $30.00) is more pigmented (90% similar). MAC Viva Glam Ariana Grande Lipstick ($17.00 for 0.10 oz.) is described as a “matte plum.” It’s a deep, dark burgundy plum with cool, berry undertones and a satin finish. It had semi-opaque color payoff with a lightly creamy texture that had some slip, which made it hard to apply on its own as it streaked but also applied with a jagged edge. This needs to be applied with a lip brush or over a lip liner to give it something to cling to. It lasted for five and a half hours on me but feathered slightly. I really wish this knocked it out of the park, because it’s for a great cause. If this color (or performance) doesn’t do it for you, please consider one of the many other permanent shades of Viva Glam lipstick instead! MAC Soulfully Rich (P, $18.00) is lighter (95% similar).
