MAC Mind Control Lipstick ($17.00 for 0.10 oz.) is described as a “bright cherry red [with an Amplified finish].” It’s a brightened, medium-dark red with cool, bluish undertones and a very, very fine dusting of gold and pink micro-shimmer (it’s really not noticeable as a distinct shimmer, only as a sheen). It had semi-opaque pigmentation with a creamy, moderately emollient consistency that glided on easily and didn’t feel heavy on. It seemed thinner than the typical Amplified. MAC Which Witch Lipstick ($17.00 for 0.10 oz.) is described as a “deep plum [with an Amplified finish].” It’s a blackened purple with subtle, warm plummy undertones and a dash of violet micro-shimmer. It had semi-opaque pigmentation with a consistency that had moderate slip–it definitely slides around on me and could be a shade that feathers for some as a result. Application could have been better, but it isn’t the worst I’ve seen; some visible streaky and general unevenness, so I would recommend a lip liner with this one.
