NARS Digital World Lip Pencil Set

NARS Digital World Lip Pencil Set ($49.00 for 0.27 oz.) includes five, travel-sized lip pencils. Each Velvet Matte Lip Pencil contains 0.06 oz., and each Satin Lip Pencil contains 0.05 oz. It is exclusive to Sephora. They come in a long, rectangular plastic box (feels like acrylic to me, but I’m not an expert on materials!)–it’s thick, sturdy plastic, and it feels like something you would keep, not toss away. Three shades are limited edition (and two of those were released earlier this year in the Final Cut collection), and two are part of the permanent range. The only real downside to NARS’ lip pencils is that they require sharpening, so there is waste, and they may not be as travel-friendly since they don’t just twist-up. Otherwise, the formula has good color payoff, wears well, and is comfortable to wear.

Descanso is described as a “tea rose.” It’s a lightly pink-tinged peach with a satin finish. It has mostly opaque color coverage that wears for four hours on me, and it was lightly hydrating while worn. See swatches of all dupes / view dupes side-by-side.

Torres del Paine is described as a “peach coral.” It’s a light-medium, softened peach-orange with a satin finish. It wore nicely for four hours and was lightly hydrating over time. Iberico is described as an “intense coral.” It’s a bold, bright orange-red with warm undertones and a matte finish. The color coverage was mostly opaque, and it was creamy enough that it glided on without skipping and delivered even color. This shade wore well for six hours and left a stain behind. Yu is described as a “shocking pink.” It’s a bright, fuchsia pink with cool, magenta undertones and a luminous finish. The shade yiedled fairly opaque coverage that went on evenly and smoothly. Cruella is described as a “passionate scarlet red. It’s a muted, medium-dark red with cool, blue undertones and a matte finish. The consistency had a light waxiness to it that gave it that “velvet” feel when applied, so it didn’t skip or drag on the lips. It had mostly opaque pigmentation, and it lasted for six hours.
