Noon Noir
MAC Noon Noir Lipstick ($18.50 for 0.10 oz.) is a dirty, dark brown with olive undertones and fine, gold, green, and copper pearl. It had semi-opaque pigmentation that applied somewhat evenly, but the color gravitated toward my deeper lip lines and did not adhere well to the inner area of my lips. The texture was smooth, thin, and lightweight, but it applied without dragging or pulling on my lips. I could see this shade working better when paired with a lip liner. It wore well for four and a half hours and was neither drying nor hydrating on me.

Formula Overview
$18.50/0.10 oz. - $185.00 Per Ounce
MAC Lipstick comes in a variety of finishes, and the pigmentation and wear tend to be dependent on the finish. The sheer finishes, like Lustres, tend to wear for only a couple of hours and have sheer coverage (as designed) and are non-drying. Some of the original Matte shades have a stiffer, drier formula, while newer ones have a more velvety, silicone-feel to them, and the latter are creamier, more comfortable to wear, and easier to apply, but most Matte shades are quite pigmented and long-wearing, though some are drying. The Amplified and Satin finishes tend to have good pigmentation, lightly creamy to moderately creamy consistencies with a bit of shine, and moderate to long wear with deeper, richer shades wearing longer. The Frost and Metallic finishes have the most variance between shades with coverage ranging from semi-sheer to opaque with average wear and non-drying to slightly drying formulas. All MAC lipsticks are vanilla-scented but have no discernible taste.

Nothing to Wear
MAC Nothing to Wear Lipstick ($18.50 for 0.10 oz.) is a soft, medium-dark pinky-beige with subtle, warm undertones and a luminous sheen. MAC described it as a “cool nude,” but it seemed to have more peach-pink tones in it that I couldn’t help but read as warm in tone. It had good color payoff, not quite opaque, with a lightly creamy texture with moderate slip and a thinner feel on my lips. It did seem to pull into my lip lines a bit, and it was less forgiving of any texture or imperfection on my lips, too. The color stayed on well for four hours and was non-drying.

Twig
MAC Twig Lipstick ($18.50 for 0.10 oz.) is a brighter, medium pink with warm undertones and a satin finish. It had rich, opaque pigmentation in a single layer that applied evenly and smoothly across my lips. The texture was creamy without being heavy or too slippery, which made it comfortable to apply and to wear. This shade is part of the permanent range, and the color was consistent with the last iteration I have of it. It wore well for five hours and was lightly hydrating on me.
