NYX Exposed Liquid Suede Metallic Matte ($7.50 for 0.13 fl. oz.) is a brighter, medium copper with warm, brown undertones and a metallic sheen. It had good pigmentation, though it was not full coverage in a single layer. The consistency was lightweight, mousse-like but thin and dried down quickly. There was an emphasis of the texture on my lips, but it did not seem as noticeable from a normal viewing distance as this shade was incredibly reflective. The color wore well for five hours and was slightly drying.

The formula is supposed to be “plush and vibrant” with a “pigment-rich” liquid consistency and an “ultra-metallic” finish. The majority of the shades were semi-opaque to opaque in color coverage with the consistency being fairly mousse-like, so the product felt lightweight and spread well but didn’t run or get on the teeth easily. Some shades were more metallic from the get-go while others seemed to get more metallic after rubbing or patting lips slightly. They dried down to a transfer-proof finish but felt ever-so-slightly tacky at times. Based on the shades I’ve tested for wear, they are lasting between five and seven hours and are lightly drying. Between the metallic finish and the dry down, sometimes they seemed to emphasize lip lines and lip texture.

NYX Mauve Mist Liquid Suede Metallic Matte ($7.50 for 0.13 fl. oz.) is muted, medium-dark rosy brown with warm undertones and a satin finish. It was richly pigmented with a smooth, lightweight consistency that was airy and easy to spread across the lips. The surprise with this one was with how it was not metallic at all–there was a faint sheen but was nowhere near the metallicness of other shades in the line-up. It lasted for five hours on me but was a bit drying.

NYX Belle Liquid Suede Metallic Matte ($7.50 for 0.13 fl. oz.) is a medium-dark, rosy plum with warm undertones and a metallic finish. The pigmentation was nearly opaque on the lips with a single layer, but there was a hint of my lip freckle still coming through. The consistency was lightweight, thin but more like a mousse, so it had an airy quality that helped it spread well across the lips but not feel runny. There was a bit of color that pulled into my lip lines as it was drying down. This shade wore well for six hours and was lightly drying.
